Removable wall covering
For the renovation of Holland's most prestigious cinema, the Tuschinski theater in Amsterdam, and in close cooperation with the contractor, Arly Laminating-Quilting developed and manufactured a removable wall covering. Arly laminated the textile roles onto a foam layer and a velvet backing which in turn is attached to the walls using a Velcro strip. The main benefit for the Tuschinski theater is that maintenance, cleaning and replacement of the wall covering has been simplified and the overall costs lowered.
