An important innovation has been the use of dot lamination. The glue is printed onto the substrate using a minutely engraved screen that applies the dots of glue according to the pattern on the screen. The glue that is used has no environmentally harmful solvents as heat is used for obtaining the required viscosity.
The state-of-the-art hotmelt laminating machine used by Arly Laminating-Quilting produces, depending on the basic materials, up to 15,000 meters per day, at a maximum width of 220 centimeters.
